Palmdale (Calif.) cornerback Joshua Shaw will experience several firsts this weekend. He will play his first game of the 2009/2010 season Friday against Hart, and then travel to Columbus (Ohio) for his first official visit of the recruiting process Saturday.

Last Saturday, Shaw was in Seattle for Washington's 23-31 loss to the LSU Tigers. Although he did not officially visit the Huskies, the short trip was memorable.

"The experience was great, and I have been told that the crowd noise at Washington and Oregon gets pretty intense," said Shaw. "But really, I didn't know what to expect Saturday. Of course, the moment I got out of the car at the stadium, you had LSU fans and Washington fans ready to fight each other.
