2011 corner claims four offers
It's far too early to start speculating over the question of where Kyshoen Jarrett will end up playing his college ball, but it appears to be a pretty safe bet that the talented rising junior will be one of Pennsylvania's top Class of 2011 prospects.
Already the 5-foot-11, 175-pound defensive back from the Keystone State is claiming four verbal offers from schools in BCS conferences.
"I've been to camps at Pitt and Rutgers this summer," Jarrett explained. "They both went well. All the competition was great. The competition was A+ and that made me elevate my game higher.
"At Pitt I guess the recruiting coach is Brian Angelichio and I talked to him. Recently he told me they'd offer me because of my performance at that camp. From Rutgers, coach (Chris) Hewitt told me they would offer me, too, because of how great I did at the camp."
Jarrett said he has also been verbally offered by Illinois and Maryland, though he did not camp at those schools.
Though he said he would be open to any schools that recruit him, Jarrett mentioned one other that he would be interested in.
"It's kind of awkward to talk about because I'd look at any school that says I fit what they need, but Penn State is another I would be interested in. That's because I'm in Pennsylvania and it's an in-state school."
As a sophomore last fall Jarrett recorded 45 tackles, two interceptions, eight pass breakups and three fumble recoveries.
