The odds were pretty good that junior tackle prospect Jack Konopka would get noticed by the Irish staff during Notre Dame's one-day camp on June 30. That's because Konopka, a 6-foot-5, 250-pounder from Palatine, Ill., was one of just a handful of line prospects at the event. His teammate and Notre Dame verbal commitment, Christian Lombard, took up another spot.
