Littlehead still interested in CSU
The last time GoldandGreenNews.com spoke with Tahlequah (OK) Sequoyah offensive guard Chris Littlehead he had seven scholarship offers the table. Today, the Sooner State's second rated OG has a total of 11 offers on his plate from five different conferences.
During the summer, like many prospects, things have slowed down quite a bit on the recruiting front for Littlehead, but that doesn't mean they have gone away completely.
"Things have been going pretty good lately, not really too hectic-I've just been working out," said the 6-foot-2, 305 pound offensive lineman. "My most recent scholarship offer has come from Air Force and they offered around two months ago."
The AFA offer is Littlehead's second from both the state of Colorado and the Mountain West Conference, the other coming in the early going from Colorado State. He says he has not talked to CSU's Greg Peterson since May.
While it has been two months since his most recent offer, Littlehead has been staying busy with camps where he has been receiving solid instruction.
"I've been to (Oklahoma), (Oklahoma State) and Ole Miss. They all went really well, I really enjoyed all of them."
According to Littlehead, the Sooners talked to him about offering a scholarship, but still have not. He says he feels that Oklahoma will offer with the way they have been talking to him. The Sooners already have a commitment from Mustang (OK) 3-star offensive guard Bronson Irwin.
In a recent interview with O-State Illustrated, Littlehead had said that Ole Miss, Oklahoma State and Kansas are recruiting him the hardest, but it is hard to make a list of his top schools when things are always changing.
"It's been hard to make a top list lately because I'll always look on the computer and check out the schools, check out the depth chart, and all of that. I mean, it has really been changing quite a bit every week. I think it changes so much because I'm always on the computer checking all the schools out.
Littlehead says that he would like the chance to play early in his college career, but wouldn't mind a redshirt season to get him used to his new system.
And where do the CSU Rams stand in all of these 11 scholarship offers?
"I'm definitely still interested in CSU," Littlehead said. "I'd like to get a chance to go up to their campus and check out everything. I've heard it's really nice, real beautiful. I definitely would like to go up there and take a visit."
Oklahoma State is the only unofficial visit Littlehead has taken thus far, but he says he would like to take a few more at the end of July. While nothing is set, the Oklahoma product says he would like to take those July unofficial visits to Kansas, Kansas State and Missouri.
