Buford HC: AU getting unique athlete
Jess Simpson has sent a lot of players to the college ranks. The Buford (Ga.) head coach estimates he's had 50 or 60 college signees just this decade including 25-30 that went D-I.
But he's never coached one quite like Jessel Curry.
"He's probably, overall, as talented an athlete as I've coached," Simpson said. "There's really not much he can't do on the football field.
"He's just extremely blessed with explosiveness, speed, strength, and change of direction as well. He's a good open-field player and handles space very well."
Some of Buford's alums over the past 10 years include current NFL players, running back Darius Walker and receiver P.K. Sam, along with current Florida d-tackle Omar Hunter and Georgia o-line signee Dallas Lee.
