Jeffrey Lee

Nick Fairley
Defensive line Wesson (Miss.) Copiah-Lincoln (JUCO) 6-foot-4, 275 pounds
It's been a long road to Auburn for Fairley since he graduated from Williamson High School in Mobile in 2007. The big, athletic defensive lineman has spent the past two years watching the Tigers from afar. Now, Fairley is less than 10 days away from moving to the Plains and finally becoming a Tiger. AuburnSports.com spoke with Fairley about his time after high school, his plans his first year at Auburn, whether he'll start out at defensive tackle or end and much more in the 12th profile story of the 2009 signees.
On his workout regime: "I've been working out and running, trying to stay in shape so when I get to Auburn it won't be as hard."
When do you plan to move to Auburn? "May 19th. I start classes May 21st. I'm ready to get started."
You'll be reporting at about 275 pounds, is that where you wanted to be? "About 275-280, yes."
Have the coaches talked to you about what position you'd be starting out at Auburn? "Coach (Tracy) Rocker called me and asked me if I could play defensive end. I told him 'yeah'. He didn't say what side, but he said I'd start out at end."
Did you think you would be on the inside at tackle? "When I signed in December, at my weight then, I did. But I've lost some weight and Coach Rocker called and asked if I could play end. I really don't have a preference."
