Signee Profile: Patience pays off for CB

Paige wasn't even on Auburn's radar until new defensive coordinator Ted Roof arrived. Roof recruited Paige to Minnesota and even had the cornerback committed, but when the chance to follow Roof to Auburn came, Paige didn't waste any time taking it. AuburnSports.com spoke with Paige about his recruitment, picking up an offer from the Tigers the last week before Signing Day, the impact Roof had on him signing with Auburn and much more in the eighth of our profile stories of the 2009 signees.
On his workout regime: "I'm doing what Auburn sent me. They sent me a package to do and it's right on with what I've been doing at junior college."
You say you're at 177 now, how much do you want to weigh when you report to Auburn? "I'd like to be 180-185. Since January, I've put on eight pounds and I'd like to add a little more."
When do you plan to move to Auburn? "As of right now, I think it will be the 21st of June."
You committed early to Minnesota, but backed off when Coach Roof left and came to Auburn. You didn't have a firm offer from the Tigers the week leading up to Signing Day. Talk about that week and what all transpired in you ending up a Tiger. "I talked to Coach Roof and he told me to just wait. He said everything would work out like I wanted it to and it surely did. I just put it in God's hands. I wasn't really worried about the offer. I figured it would work out the right way and it did. I was really excited."
