Bulldogs shutout of draft again
For the second consecutive year Mississippi State has failed to have a player taken in the NFL Draft.
This past weekend the likes of Derek Pegues, Keith Fitzhugh and ]Dominic Douglas watched all seven rounds of the draft conclude without their name being called.
In fact 256-players would be drafted over the weekend from schools as obscure as Monmouth and North Dakota State but not one player from the Bulldog roster would be taken.
MSU has not had a player taken in the NFL Draft since the Tennessee Titans selected former defensive tackle Antonio Johnson in the fifth round at pick No. 152 in 2007. In all, only four players were drafted during Sylvester Croom's tenure with the Bulldogs; David Stewart, Ronald Fields, Jerious Norwood and Johnson.
