Georgia linebacker reacts to MSU visit
One week after receiving his first offer from Mississippi State, Jonesboro, Ga., linebacker Michael Carlisle paid the Bulldogs a visit.
The powerful 6-foot-0, 205-pounder attended MSU's scrimmage on Saturday and came away impressed with his first trip to Starkville.
"It was a good visit," Carlisle said. "I got to meet Coach (John) Hevesy, the linebackers coach (Carl Torbush) and the head coach (Dan Mullen). I also got to meet a few players."
One of the players Carlisle paid close attention to was senior middle linebacker Jamar Chaney, the same position he made 125 tackles and five sacks at during his junior season.
"I saw their linebacker (Jamar) Chaney," Carlisle said. "He looked fast on his reads. He was fast on everything. He can play."
Carlisle was late arriving to the scrimmage but was impressed with the speed at the college level.
