Two hot teams collide in Tuscaloosa
Both Auburn and Alabama head into Tuesday's showdown in Tuscaloosa on a roll. The Tigers have won six of their last seven while the Tide has won three in a row.
AU took over 2nd place in the SEC West with Saturday's win at Mississippi State while UA is just two games behind in 4th.
"They are averaging 88 points in those last three games so they are scoring the basketball. They are scoring from a variety of spots," AU head coach Jeff Lebo said. "Most teams are better at home, but they seem to be much better at home, much more confident at home and tough to beat at home.
"They are playing with a lot of confidence right now."
Alabama is 13-4 at home this season and holds a 41-8 series record over Auburn in Tuscaloosa.
