Krabbenhoft nabs conference honor
MADISON, Wis. - Following one of the best games of his career, Wisconsin senior Joe Krabbenhoft took home Big Ten co-player of the week with Michigan State's Delvon Roe.
After leading UW with a 16-point outburst against Iowa earlier last week, the South Dakota native played an instrumental role in the key win over Ohio State on national television.
In that game, he scored nine points, collected eight rebounds, dished four assists and added a career high six steals. He also hit a crucial three-point shot and sunk two free throws in the waning minutes to seal the win.
With the honor, Krabbenhoft becomes the first Wisconsin player to receive such accolades since former player Brian Butch did it on Dec. 31, 2007.
