McNeal ready to hit the field again
Spring quarterback Kenric McNeal was having a successful senior season and had the Lions on track to possibly earn their first playoff berth in a few years. However, that's when things went wrong for the 6-foot-1, 175-pound Texas A&M commit.
In the Lions' first game back after Hurricane Ike hit the Houston area, McNeal suffered a torn meniscus in his knee against Tomball. The senior was told he would miss the rest of the regular season. However, without their starting quarterback, Spring stumbled and missed the postseason and McNeal was unable to show how he had recovered. He says everything is okay, though.
"Yes sir, I'm back to 100-percent," said McNeal. "I was out for a couple months but I'm good now.
