Allen prepares for Iowa with renewed confidence in shot

SpartanMag.com EAST LANSING - Michigan State's last two games should have made sophomore wing Chris Allen's eyes light up.
But Allen was unable to dissect the zone defenses of either Northwestern or Ohio State. Against both the Buckeyes and Wildcats, the second-year Spartan struggled to find a rhythm and shot 0-of-11 against a pair of teams that should have yielded several 3-point field goals to the player with the smoothest shooting stroke in East Lansing.
"I have been getting great looks," said Allen. "And we have been playing nothing but zone teams. That is supposed to be perfect for me because I am a shooter."
