Little played with a heavy heart
Mario Little had his coming out party on Monday night. In 14 minutes of action, he was 6-of-6 from the field, 2-of-2 from behind the arc and scored a career-high 15-points. Minutes after Kansas (14-4; 3-0) defeated Texas A&M (15-4; 1-3), 73-53, Little indicated he was playing with a heavy heart. What was the reason behind his inspired play?
Little, the 6-foot-6, 210-pound small forward from Chicago, Ill., was simply at his best against Texas A&M. In 14 minutes of action, the No. 1 ranked junior college prospect in the class of 2008, was 6-of-6 from the field, 2-of-2 from behind the arc and scored a career-high 15-points.
