The resignation of Tommy Tuberville and eventual hire of new Auburn head coach Gene Chizik has been a stressful time for the entire Auburn family.

It's certainly had an affect on AU's commitments. Most have stuck with the Tigers through the coaching search process including Hollywood (Fla.) South Broward offensive lineman Steven Jacques.

"It's been kinda tough," Jacques said. "I really liked coach Tuberville and I liked coach (Hugh) Nall a lot. But things happen."

After being officially introduced as AU's head coach Monday afternoon, Chizik has been hitting the ground running, calling most of AU's commitments. He got in touch with Jacques late Monday night.
