After weeks of speculating, Georgia coach Mark Richt announced Thursday that senior long-snapper Jeff Henson will not be admitted back on the team.
Henson, along with safety Donavon Baldwin were suspended indefinitely by Richt after separate alcohol-related events during the summer.
Baldwin's ultimate fate has not yet been decided.
"Jeffery will not be returning," Richt said. "But I'm still working on Baldwin. I'm getting really close, really close."
A senior from Gainesville, Henson was arrested for public intoxication and urinating in public in downtown Athens in early August. He was also charged with DUI in November and missed the Sugar Bowl as punishment.
Recently, Henson was cleared by the UGA Student Judiciary and has been allowed to remain in school.
Baldwin was already serving a one-game suspension when he was involved in an altercation which sent him to St. Mary's hospital after being hit in the head with a beer bottle.
With Henson out, senior Bo Fowler will continue handling the long-snapper duties for the Bulldogs, who play at Arizona State Saturday night.
