Armstrong focused on one
With the injuries that Dennis Dixon, Nathan Costa, John Bacon, Jeremiah Johnson and Brian Paysinger have suffered Oregon Duck fans have seen many times over the last year how devastating knee injuries can be. One of their targets on the offensive line for the class of 2009, guard Karrington Armstrong, (6'2, 300) knows the pain of a knee injury all too personally. Duck Sports Authority checked in with Armstrong recently to see how recruiting and his recuperation are going.
"I got a knee injury doing squats during my summer workouts," Armstrong said. "I collapsed during the exercise and landed in an odd manner. I had a surgery on my knee and I rehabbed it and it feels stronger than ever. So as soon as the doctor cleared me I went back to the weight room and I am now benching 340, squatting 550 and cleaning 325."
