Bulldogs start second week
The Mississippi State Bulldogs returned to the practice fields this morning for the first time since Saturday's initial scrimmage.
The Bulldogs practiced for two and half hours and head coach Sylvester Croom left the session pleased with the offense.
"We had pretty good work this morning," Croom said. "I thought the quarterbacks had their best day throwing. We didn't do as good defensively I thought. The offense ran the ball well in 9-on-7. Either we are getting a lot better on offense or our defense has taken a step back. I don't know which, I'll have to look at the film and see."
Croom also spoke more vividly about Saturday's scrimmage. Croom was especially proud of the progress of the receiving corps.
"Looking at the film from the scrimmage, I thought Aubrey Bell had one of his best days since he has been here," Croom said. "Brandon McRae and all the receivers for the most part played pretty well. Some were a lot better than others but those guys produced good out there."
