Two-a-Day Insider: Scrimmage up next
After seven practices in six days - including three workouts in full pads - Auburn takes the next step Saturday, when the team has its first full-scale scrimmage.
Head coach Tommy Tuberville said the scrimmage will be especially important for the quarterbacks. Kodi Burns and Chris Todd continue to compete for the starting job, and both could make an impression Saturday.
"You can come out here all day in skele and throw around - me and you could complete a lot of passes in skele with no pressure," said Tuberville. "But when you're underneath the center and you've got 11 guys over there going full speed, it makes a difference."
Burns and Todd won't be the only quarterbacks with something to prove.
