Freshman safety DeRon Furr will withdraw from Auburn and look to finish his college career elsewhere, DeRon Furr, Sr. told AuburnSports.com Tuesday.

"He'll sign his letter of withdrawal (Wednesday) morning," the elder Furr said. "We just want to thank Auburn University for giving DeRon the opportunity to go there and learn to be a student and an athlete.

"We just want to tell Auburn that we thank them very much for that chance."
