Clark makes the call
After landing scholarship offers from Iowa and Iowa State this summer, Marion offensive lineman Drew Clark took a month to think things over before making his choice. Today, the 6-foot-4, 280-pound Clark arrived at his decision and made the phone call to give his verbal commitment to the Hawkeyes.
Clark, who was a first team all-state selection last year, returned home this week from a family vacation that gave him an opportunity to think things over before making his decision. After weighing all the pros and cons of each school, the offensive lineman felt most at home at Iowa.
Growing up just a drive up I-380 from Iowa City, Clark has been a lifelong Hawkeye fan not only because of the proximity, but also because his uncle, Craig, was a four-year letterwinner for the Hawkeyes in the mid 80's.
Rivals.com ranks Clark as the No. 6 prospect in the state of Iowa this year.
