Ole Miss makes impression on Texas OL
Michael Brown will give Baylor a look.
The Bears better make one heck of an impression, however, if they're going to have any chance at landing the big offensive lineman from Lexington, Texas.
Ole Miss made one heck of an impression.
"It's exactly what I'm looking for," Brown said Sunday, shortly after making it home from his weekend in Oxford, Miss., checking out the Ole Miss campus and the Rebels' program. "It was more than I expected."
The 6-foot-6, 312-pound, three-star prospect said Sunday he will likely decide between Ole Miss and Baylor sometime before football season. Brown, who could play offensive guard or offensive tackle, said he "really liked everything. I really liked the Square. We have something similar to it (in Lexington), but it's not nearly as popular."
Brown made it to Oxford on Friday afternoon, toured the campus and watched film with Ole Miss offensive line coach Mike Markuson.
"He showed me the drills they use and the way he teaches footwork and that kind of thing," Brown said.
Brown said he's checked out Colorado, Oklahoma and Ole Miss so far this summer. He'll travel to Waco, Texas, before practice begins. Brown has offers from the Bears, Rebels, Arizona, Houston, Kansas, Texas A&M and Tulane.
