Signee update: Scott confirms WR role
Rivals.com Position Ranking: 3rd-ranked athlete.
High school: Prichard Vigor.
Commitment Date: 7/30/07.
Recruited By: Lance Thompson.
Present size: 5-11, 190 pounds.
On his current workout routine: "I've been doing a lot of lifting and working out, two or three days a week. I haven't maxed on the bench in a long time. The last time I did it, I got like 350 [pounds]. I ran track in the spring so I stayed in shape that way. I did the triple [jump], the long [jump], and ran the 4x100 [meters]."
On his reporting date: "I'm coming in on June 2nd."
On his course of study at Alabama: "I've thought about the business school, but I might end up doing marketing."
Self-description of playing style: "Just a playmaker. Whatever side of the ball you put me on, I'm going to make it happen. I can do a lot of different things, and whatever it takes to get the win, I'll do it."
One thing most people don't know about you: [Editor's note]: Scott struggled for an answer to this one, but later returned a text message to BOL that read: "I'm just as good at baseball." (Quick, someone call Jim Wells).
On his future position: "I'm definitely coming in as a wide receiver, and that's what I want to come in as. I'll get a chance to play with the ball and get the offense part of it down first, then we'll see where it goes after that."
On playing hurt as a senior: "I pulled a muscle in my chest pretty bad, and strained something in there. I missed two games with it. It was still bothering me when I came back, but I still came through for the team. I just played through it and got through the season."
On his future roommate: "Julio Jones and I are good friends and talk a lot. I'll probably be in there with Julio and Star Jackson."
On his influence on other Mobile-area recruits: "I committed pretty early so I thought that would have a little influence on other guys. I talked to some guys but they pretty much made up their own minds."
