Meet Scott Christopherson. He's a Wisconsin boy. During his senior year at LaCrosse High School in 2006, Christopherson averaged a cool 22.3 PPG. He tossed a Mr. Basketball title onto his resume and had already committed to Coach Tom Crean and the Marquette Golden Eagles as a sophomore.

After a flawless high school career, Christopherson's freshman campaign at Marquette was no picnic. His playing time was limited due to a right knee injury and his head coach (Tom Crean) left to take a job at Indiana. Things were immediately looking down for the Badger State sharpshooter, until last week when Christopherson made it official. He is psyched up to be a Cyclone.

"Iowa State was everything that I was looking for. I was really happy with it. I could have visited other places but I think that Iowa State is a great fit for me," Christopherson said. "A lot of people are going to look at Iowa State and say that they aren't necessarily a basketball powerhouse. When you have players like Craig Brackins, Wes Johnson and some of those other guys, we are going to be a lot better than what people think. I am really excited about that."

As for Christopherson's knee, things are looking up. In fact, his knee would have been fine a year ago had he been able to rest it properly.

"The whole season I wasn't anywhere close to 100% just because I never really rested it after surgery," Christopherson said. "I just kept pushing it to come back even though it wasn't 100%. I don't regret it, but now it's 100%."
