Breakdown: Can KU win it all tonight?
It has been an exciting three weeks of college basketball. 65 teams began the long road to the Final Four, and in the end, just two remain. Kansas (36-3, 13-3) and Memphis (38-1, 16-0) are set to square off for the National Championship Monday night in San Antonio, Tex. The Tigers dismantled UCLA in their semifinal match up Saturday evening, followed by maybe the most shocking and impressive 15 minutes of basketball played the entire season when the Jayhawks obliterated North Carolina by jumping to a 40-12 lead, eventually winning by 18.
Now, the two finalists are prepared for what should be one of the most entertaining championship games in some time. Both teams are high-octane offensively, while the Kansas pressure defense will look to slow down the athletic Memphis guards. Tip off is set for 8:21 p.m. CST.
