It didn't take linebackers coach Jon Tenuta long to recognize the unique talents of sophomore-to-be linebacker Brian Smith. Tenuta has Smith working as the No. 1 Sam linebacker while inserting him at inside linebacker in certain defensive packages. Smith reminds Tenuta of a former Georgia Tech player, Gerris Wilkinson, now with the New York Giants.
