Bulls may have leg up with DB Robinson
Even though USF is in the middle of deciding who will fill the shoes of cornerbacks Mike Jenkins and Trae Williams for the 2008 season, some of the same questions figure to persist in 2009, when Tyller Roberts moves on and Jerome Murphy enters his senior season.
The Bulls addressed that need in the recently signed class with Miami Carroll's George Baker and Delray Beach Atlantic's John Lejiste, and they have targeted another key south Florida prospect for next year in rising Plantation High School senior CB Josh Robinson.
USF is one of four schools that have already made formal scholarship offers for the 5-foot-10, 180-pound defensive back. Robinson said South Carolina, Kentucky and Indiana are other serious suitors. The Bulls are also pursuing two of his teammates, highly touted athlete Brandon McGee, who holds offers from Southern Cal, Ohio State, Florida State, Miami, Notre Dame and others, and safety Vladimir Emilien.
