Bynes turning heads this spring
It's not unusual for a player to make a big step up from his freshman to his sophomore season. But what Auburn linebacker Josh Bynes is doing this spring has even caught his position coach off guard.
"He's made a huge improvement," said AU linebacker coach James Willis. "I think he has a little more confidence. You see that a lot with freshman that come back the following year.
"He's being vocal. He's making calls, making adjustments, and he's playing more physical."
Bynes leads AU's defense with 18 tackles in two scrimmages this spring. He's been working behind Tray Blackmon at Mike (middle) linebacker, but his play has earned him some reps with the first-team.
