Gordon says injured wrist is improving
Eric Gordon has been in a shooting slump of sorts as of late, but you wouldn't know it by looking at his stats. Averaging over 20 points and 10.4 free throw attempts per game over the last nine contests, he's certainly holding up his end of what D.J. White called "the best duo in college basketball" as IU heads into postseason play.
But his shooting touch has been somewhat off, at least by the standards he set for himself in the early portions of the season when he was consistently knocking down 3-pointers from NBA range and beyond. Since Indiana's home stint against Northwestern about a month ago, Gordon is a combined 12-of-49 from deep. The shooting slump coincides and started almost the same time that Gordon injured his wrist in practice.
He admits that the wrap he has had to wear has affected his shooting but says it's now improving.
