Chris Karpman
ASUDevils.com Arizona State improved its record to 18-10 overall and 8-8 in the Pac-10 with an 80-66 win over USC on Saturday at Wells Fargo Arena in Tempe.
On senior night, Antwi Atuahene earned the start and hit an early 3-pointer, but it was USC's O.J. Mayo who was the long-range shooting star on the night with a career-high 37 points on 7-of-10 3-pointers.
But the Sun Devils were able to overcome the tremendous performance by Mayo, largely on the back of their own superstar freshman James Harden, who scored 24 points on just eight field goals attempts.
Following the win, ASU coach Herb Sendek and several of his players spoke about the team's record and NCAA Tournament hopes heading into the final regular season road trip of the year.
