Tigers pick up big win over No. 19 Rebels

AuburnSports.com Quantez Robertson buried a 3-pointer to break a 70-70 tie and Auburn made most of its free throws down the stretch to pull off an 80-77 upset over No. 18 Ole Miss Saturday afternoon at Beard-Eaves Coliseum.
A big defensive play by DeWayne Reed set up AU's big finish. The sophomore guard blocked a shot by Chris Warren and 20 seconds later Robertson came off a screen to nail a 3-pointer from the left wing.
"Coach told me if I get a good open shot to take my shot," said Robertson. "Fortunately I got open and took a big shot and I made it. It got the team excited and ready to play defense
we knocked a few free throws at the end of the game."
Auburn made 7-of-10 free throws down the stretch including 4-of-4 from Frank Tolbert as the Rebels pushed the ball up the court on offense and fouled the Tigers in a frantic final minute of play.
Tolbert finished matched a career-high with 29 points on 9-of-11 shooting. He also made 2-of-2 from 3-point range.
