Undersized Auburn hosts big Razorback team
When Arkansas steps onto the floor at Beard-Eaves Coliseum Thursday night they'll have a team that includes four players that are 6-foot-10 or bigger.
Auburn will have none.
On most nights, the Razorbacks use 10 players in their normal playing rotation.
Injuries and suspensions have limited the Tigers to just seven scholarship players.
It goes without saying that head coach Jeff Lebo faces an uphill battle preparing Auburn (9-3) to host Arkansas (11-3) in the SEC opener for both.
"It is just an issue that we are going to have to deal with and do the best that we can with undersize guys in there," said Lebo.
"We just don't have enough guys out there to simulate what we are going to see. Once they get into game situations after going against the walk-ons, and all of a sudden there is a guy who is 6-10, 280, who is athletic and can move. Everything is different in a game situation."
