SCOTTSDALE, Ariz.--West Virginia's run game is dominant, averaging 293 yards per game this season. However, in the Mountaineers' (10-2) two losses, the running attack has been slowed down.
Steve Slaton accumulated 1,053 yards this season after an All-American year in which he picked up 1,744 yards. He carried the ball 248 times last season, while bearing it 210 times this time around.
Therein lies the problem.
