Barber injured as Tigers beat Towson
Auburn's Quan Prowell scored a game-high 25 points and tied a career-best with 11 rebounds to lead the Tigers to a 79-59 victory over Towson Saturday afternoon in front of 3,938 fans at Beard-Eaves Memorial Coliseum.
Auburn improved to 8-2 with the victory, while Towson dropped to 4-7.
"We did some good things today," Auburn head coach Jeff Lebo said. "We missed some shots that we shouldn't have. Quan played well. We were nice and quick to start off the game. They tried to use the three-point line against us, but we were able to hold them off."
The news wasn't all positive for the Tigers as leading scorer Korvotney Barber left the game in the first half with an injury to his left hand and did not return.
