Barber paces Auburn to 67-56 win
Forward Korvotney Barber scored a game-high 19 points as Auburn moved to 7-2 on the season with a 67-56 win over Alabama A&M Saturday afternoon at Beard-Eaves Coliseum.
A junior, Barber made 7-of-11 shots from the field and added four rebounds, going up inside against A&M center Mickell Gladness, who came into the game second in the nation with 5.8 blocks per game.
"Vot did a nice job," said Lebo. "With a shot blocker in there like that he had to go to his quick jump hook.
"That guy is long and bouncy
and he's got pretty good timing. It's amazing what you can do out on the perimeter when you've got one in there that can do that."
Gladness blocked six shots in the game but Barber used his quickness to attack the basket, finishing with three dunks.
