Florida QB Johnson talks IU official
Kellen Lewis has thrived in Indiana's spread offense since he took the reigns last year, so it's understandable that the IU coaching staff is looking for an athletic quarterback to bring in with the 2008 class.
Orhian Johnson, a dual-threat QB out of Gulfport, Fla., is exactly that kind of prospect. The 6-2, 178-pound Johnson has spent his prep career as Boca Ciega's signal-caller, but his athleticism and versatility has led some programs to offer him as a skill position player.
But Bill Lynch and his staff like Johnson under center. Johnson's scrambling ability has made him a valuable asset in the eyes of the Hoosier coaches.
The IU camp got its turn to impress Johnson during his official visit to Bloomington this past weekend.
