Prowell returns as Auburn faces WVU
Auburn faces its toughest challenge of the season Wednesday night when the Tigers travel to Birmingham for a clash with West Virginia in the Big East/SEC Challenge.
The Mountaineers enter the game with a 5-1 record, their only defeat a two-point loss to No. 10 Tennessee.
"They are by far the best team that we have faced and are the best defensive team that we will have faced," said Auburn head coach Jeff Lebo. "They have the most size and most athleticism. It is going to be a heck of a match.
"When you talk about Bob Huggins teams, he spends a lot of time defensively with them. They are a good man-to-man team right now. They have forced 137 turnovers in six games."
Fortunately for Auburn (4-1), who has played most of the first five games of the season with seven scholarship players, Wednesday will mark the return of forward Quan Prowell from suspension.
The senior averaged 12.0 points and 5.3 rebounds per game last season.
