Tigers return after long layoff
After a 13-day layoff Auburn men's basketball returns to action Sunday afternoon against George Washington in the BB&T Classic.
With Quan Prowell serving the final game of his 5-game suspension and Boubacar Sylla still nursing a sprained ankle, Auburn will face a talented George Washington club with just seven scholarship players available.
"We have seven so everybody is going have an opportunity," said AU head coach Jeff Lebo.
Two players taking advantage of those opportunities are sophomores Lucas Hargrove and Matt Heramb. Hargrove has averaged a steady 6.8 points and 5.0 rebounds per game while Heramb broke out with a 17-point performance against Alabama State.
