Alabama linebacker Rolando McClain closed his freshman campaign with 15 tackles, including eight solos, on Saturday at Auburn's Jordan-Hare Stadium. With that performance, the Decatur native finished with 70 tackles on the season, including 4.5 TFLs, one sack, and one interception. A look at a few numbers from Alabama's 17-10 loss to Auburn.
0 Alabama wide receiver Mike McCoy was shut out of the receiving column Saturday night for the first time. McCoy had made at least one catch in each of UA's first 11 games.
7 The Crimson Tide and the Tigers traded punts on seven consecutive possessions in the second half, amounting to most of the third quarter and part of the fourth.
12 Auburn's John Thompson led the Tigers in tackles (12) from a defensive tackle position.

Hall remarks on youth at receiver
With the eligibility exits of DJ Hall. Keith Brown and Matt Caddell, Alabama will have plenty of competition at wide receiver in spring practice.
"We've still got guys that can make plays," said Hall. "Mike McCoy and Earl Alexander will come in and be a spark. Those guys play hard."
The most experienced returners will be McCoy, Nikita Stover and Will Oakley. Alexander will be a third-year sophomore, and three redshirt freshmen - Marquis Maze, Darius Hanks and Brandon Gibson - will also compete.
Senior Darren Mustin on the loss: "It hurts to swallow this.
It's one of those things that will haunt me for the rest of my life."

Alabama Director of Athletics Mal Moore was spotted conversing with a Liberty Bowl representative following Saturday's loss. The Liberty Bowl in Memphis, Tenn., is one of only a few conceivable bowl destinations for an Alabama team hoping to receive a bid.
