Auburn cruises to win in home-opener
Six Tigers scored in double figures as Auburn held on for a 74-62 win over Kennesaw State in the home-opener at Beard-Eaves Coliseum Tuesday night.
AU led by as many as 25 points in the second half before a late 13-4 run by the Owls cut AU's final margin to 12 points.
"We did some good things until the last eight minutes of the game," said AU head coach Jeff Lebo. "We kinda looked fatigued and didn't finish off the way we'd like and had too many turnovers.
"Defensively, especially in the first half, I thought we did a good job."
