Two of the top big men took themselves off the board on Halloween night when the Morris twins, Marcus and Markieff, committed to Kansas.

Six big men from the Rivals150 remain uncommitted, but academics are the major concern for most of them.

In our continued series of Best of the Rest, we look at the top power forwards still uncommitted as we draw closer to the early signing period.

Best of the Rest: Power Forwards

Matt Simpkins, 6-8, 215, Bridgton Academy (Maine) Rank: No. 47 player in nation, No. 15 power forward Who is in the mix?: Cal and Washington When will he sign?: Late. The holdup with Simpkins has always been related to academics. He made a cross-country move to work on his grades, and he is sending his test scores to the NCAA Clearinghouse. Are academics a concern?: Yes. Simpkins highlights

Kevin Jones, 6-7, 210, Mount Vernon (N.Y.) Rank: No. 79 player in nation, No. 24 power forward Who is in the mix?: Indiana, Ohio State, Pittsburgh, UMass and West Virginia When will he sign?: Jones has meticulously examined each school he is considering. If he has a leader, he hasn't tipped his hand either way. However, he has maintained that he will sign early. Are academics a concern?: No.

Rashanti Harris, 6-8, 238, New Hope (Miss.) Rank: No. 115 player in nation, No. 30 power forward Who is in the mix?: Up in the air. When will he sign? Don't expect Harris to sign in the early period. He has never shied away from the fact that junior college could be in his future. If that is the case, he could very well be one of the top prospects in that field down the road. Keep an eye on his progression during the season, too. Are academics a concern?: Yes. Harris highlights

Teeng Akol, 6-10, 220, IMG Academy (Fla.) Rank: No. 117 player in nation, No. 31 power forward Who is in the mix?: DePaul and Pittsburgh When will he sign?: Now at a new location, Akol is getting a fresh start in the Sunshine State. While there, he'll tighten up his academic situation. Are academics a concern?: Yes.

Latavious Williams, 6-7, 195, Starkville (Miss.) Rank: No. 122 player in nation, No. 32 power forward Who is in the mix?: Up in the air. When will he sign?: He will, without question, sign in the spring. But to what level? That is the big question. The Division I schools have backed off because of his situation in the classroom. Prep school or junior college is looking like the most realistic option at this point. Are academics a concern?: Yes.

Storm Warren, 6-6, 215, Richwood (La.) Rank: No. 132 player in nation, No. 35 power forward Who is in the mix?: Louisianan-Monroe, Louisiana Tech and LSU When will he sign?: Warren re-opened his recruitment right as the early period is approaching, which is a blow to Baylor. It could be perfect timing for another school. The three-star big man said he'd like to stay closer to home. Warren also said he'd like to sign in the early period. Are academics a concern?: No. Warren highlights
