New players will give D.J. a different look
With only three returning starters, the Hoosiers will have to look for production from some first-year players.
Guards Jordan Crawford and Jamarcus Ellis might see a significant amount of playing time early on with A.J. Ratliff ineligible, and the frontcourt could see some contribution from new faces as well with only three members returning. Freshmen big men Eli Holman and Brandon McGee could get into the mix, and juco transfer forward DeAndre Thomas is a candidate to see some time as well now that he's slimmed down to 296 pounds.
All this, however, will put D.J. White in a position where he'll have to rely on some newcomers to help fulfill the expectations that have been lofted onto his senior year.
Should Thomas, Holman or McGee get thrown into the mix, White said the frontcourt's production won't be hampered, but it might change his role in the offense.
