Singleton Talks Rocky Top Trip
In the world of college basketball, you won't find many athletic 6-foot-9 forwards who can rebound, defend inside and out and step back and consistently drain three-pointers. Chris Singleton is the rare player who can do all that and more, and because of that, it's not surprising that Tennessee has been chasing him aggressively since last winter.
Those recruiting efforts peaked this weekend when Singleton (6-foot-9, 215 pounds) made his official visit to Knoxville, along with the Vols other top-targets in the '08 class, Elliot Williams and Renaldo Woolridge.
Like Williams, Singleton has a couple of unofficials to Knoxville under his belt, but left his official trip with an even better understanding of what the program and the school have to offer.
Unlike a lot of programs, Tennessee opted to bring in all of their major targets on the same weekend, and like Williams told us earlier, Singleton liked the set-up as well.
