Kansas State coach Frank Martin announced in August that three-star rated Class of 2007 signee Jamar Samuels would not be at the school at that time. Samuels has returned home, but is planning on returning to Manhattan as soon as he can.

Samuels is hopeful the score will let him arrive in time for the beginning of the 2007-08 season.
