Orton Receives First Visitor
Prior to Monday nights in-home visit with five-star center J'Mison Morgan, Bill Self and Danny Manning stopped of in Oklahoma to check in on a couple of 2009 five-star prospects. On Tuesday evening, Jayhawk Slant reported members of the KU coaching staff made the trip to Xavier Henry's high school. Later that night, Daniel Orton, the No. 1 ranked center in the class, told Jayhawk Slant that two members of the coaching staff had stopped by his school as well.
Orton, without question, is one of the truly elite players in the class of 2009. After an outstanding spring and summer, the No. 11 ranked player in the class, has attracted the attention of programs like Arkansas, Auburn, Baylor, Connecticut, Florida, Illinois, Kansas, Maryland, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Texas, Texas A&M and Wake Forest.
