California Four-Star Talks Tennessee Interest
Consecutive NCAA tournament berths for Bruce Pearl's program have been obvious signs of the strides Tennessee has made on the court in his two seasons on the job. Off the court signs can be seen as well, such as the fact that the Vols are a serious player for Renaldo Woolridge, from North Hollywood, Ca., one of the top small forward prospects in the nation.
Woolridge (6-foot-7, 190 pounds) isn't the sort of prospect that you'd normally expect to see as a prominent part of Tennessee's recruiting strategy-a consensus top-50 player from the West Coast-but Pearl and his staff are showing how long their reach has grown on the recruiting trail by getting Woolridge's attention in a big way.
In addition to Tennessee, Woolridge said his final five consists of USC, Georgetown, Illinois and Marquette.
