Captain expects smooth sailing this season

GamecockCentral.com Captain Munnerlyn has been with South Carolina for just one season but apparently that's long enough to catch the eye of the national media.
In its 2007 College Football Preview edition, The Sporting News predicts Munnerlyn "will be one of the (SEC's) best cover corners by the end of the season."
High praise indeed for a sophomore cornerback who started less than half the games he appeared in during his first year of major college football.
The 5-foot-9 Munnerlyn, always confident, doesn't discourage such talk.
"It feels good that someone out there knows what I'm doing," Munnerlyn said. "But I really don't ready the magazines. I know after this year somebody else out there is going to know about me. I think I'm going to have a real good season. This is my breakout year."
