As we close in on the 2007 season, we will be keeping our eyes open for class of 2009 talent. Some prospects have already emerged in that class and one of them is defensive tackle J.C. Lanier.

Vitals: 6-foot-3, 335-pounds

Position: Defensive Tackle

Class: 2009

Offers: Clemson and Georgia Tech


The Skinny: Lanier is a very mobile interior defensive lineman. He has quick feet, he has good power and he is a good athlete for his size. He is still working to lose weight and to become a better conditioned and fundamental player. He is still raw and he has a lot to learn, but the talent and potential is there.
