Burgess tears up morning practice
After an injury plagued junior campaign in which he played about as much defense as offense, senior wideout Rudy Burgess is healthy and ready to torment opposing secondaries.
"It's great being able to come out here -- actually practice with the team -- and go full speed," Burgess said after Thursday's first two-a-day practice at Tontozona.
Burgess easily stood out in the morning session during the 11-on-11 scrimmage, showing that he can consistently catch the ball in traffic over the middle of the field.
If Thursday's morning was any indication of things to come, Burgess should have no problem assuming the role of being the go-to-guy in the Sun Devil passing game.
