Bears break out the shells
Day Three of Fall Camp ended with the most hands-on action California head coach Jeff Tedford and his staff have put their players through so far this week. After focusing on individual drills for the first half of practice Wednesday afternoon, the Bears went 11-on-11 for roughly an hour to close the day out. Starting running back Justin Forsett led the offensive charge with a handful of reps.
No More Flag Football
For the first time in Fall Ball this season, Cal conducted practice with its players in "shells" (helmets and shoulder pads). Players have expressed on many occasions all week how anxious they were to get some hitting in and Wednesday was their first opportunity to do so.
